A little about me: I began working as a freelancer before I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005 with an emphasis on Studio Art: Design, a discipline of visual communications, as well as a minor in public relations and journalism. While working full time as a designer, I also manage my own base of smaller clients under the name oh!see design. oh!see operates as a strategic design firm that focuses on providing better communication and design solutions for all.
I've been told I am an atypical designer. With a skill set that ranges from coding and programming to audio engineering and video, I believe life is all about improving and betterment. Collaboration is key to me. I would rather a final design be the best it can be with the help from others than a product I create solely on my own.
Some of my active skills include:
Self-created design firm that has grown into a collaborative effort with other creatives to assist national clients in resolving communication needs.
Serve as creative lead in a number of B2B and B2C print and web marketing campaigns. Responsible for interpreting client goals, establishing creative direction, coordinating artwork and materials, working within budget constraints and collaborating with fellow employees to achieve targeted satisfaction.
Responsible for the creation and direction of all artifacts to maintain the Association's external presence. Duties included creation and maintenance of a graphic standard that is both intriguing to members and flexible to accommodate all employees' levels of expertise.
Additional day-to-day projects centered on: creating marketing directives, copy writing, maintaining HTML-based e-mails, project management and coordination of association sub-brands.
Position's main focus was the oversight of the weekly entertainment news section. Duties included assigning and editing articles, developing and selecting artwork, attending plan meetings and attending to prepress and post-production needs to ensure quality.
